Unhappy 98 ram 5.9 grinding sound?

To get y'all up to speed, I had my gear's blow out last weekend. Nothing too bad my gears are fine just had a pinion yolk come lose and lost all my fluid. We've got that fixed but now everytime i'm going over 20mph or close to that speed. If i let off the gass (Foot completely off the gas) My truck makes a grinding sound, We thought it was the flywheel rubbing the dust covor but i've pushed it out and its not rubbing at all. The noise goes away when i press the gass or slow down. Any help?

The sound is still there when i put the truck in Neutral coasting. Hopefully it's not my tranny. After blowing three of them i'm not doing that again. What could be in the diff making a rubbing sound? It's not so much a grinding sound. Just like metal on metal rubbing against each other..

Can you please update your profile to include your truck's information?

Does your truck have a manual or automatic transmission? Also, is it 2WD or 4WD?

Have you checked your driveshaft U-joints to ensure they are still good and tight?

Sorry i'll update, My truck is 4WD and the U-joints are all in great shape. Had them redone with the tranny no more than 3k miles ago.

Drop the rear driveshaft, remove the tailshaft from the transfer case, check to see that the snap ring right by the rear output shaft bearing is still there.
