Default Front end of truck is popping...

Ive replaced all ball joints, new shocks, and red head steering gear, but my front end is still popping when I hit a bump. At higher speeds, you can't tell, but slow speeds is obvious. My torsion bar needs new bushings for sure, but is that making it pop that bad? Everything else feels tight including steering joints. I can feel it through the petals mainly and the steering gear seemed to fix the steering wheel for the most part.

If it helps, truck is a 1999 1500 sport.

Is your truck 2WD or 4WD? If 4WD, did you mean to say 'track bar' instead of 'torsion bar'? If its 4WD and your track bar bushings are bad, chances are that the joint is likely bad, too. This could well be the source of your problem.

It would also help if you update your profile to include your truck's information, so that your vehicle information shows up as part of your profile.

Shock bolts can do that as well. Them guys get torqued to like 110 ft/lbs.

Cool

I would pay attention to all the little stuff, one thing I've learned over the last 10 years coming to this forum and asking all these professionals a lot of questions is. They always remind me too, don't forget about all the little things that we tend overlook.
The last two weeks I have completely rebuilt my front end. I'm restoring the vehicle for my son to drive in 3 years when he starts high school. My truck has 280,000 miles on it and I was completely amazed at how bad all the bushings were on the truck. The lower control arms and upper control arms. My spring insulators were completely rotten and had holes in them. The Pitman and idler arm fell apart when I remove them from the vehicle. It scared the hell out of me. My shocks were completely worn out but I was surprised that the upper bushings on the shock below the upper control arm were completely gone. All I'm trying to do is give you advice to make sure you look at all the little things, I hope this helps you out.

Woops, actually, I meant sway bar. I just replaced the track bar, but Im going to convert to 3rd gen style before to long. Also, in reply to HeyYou, I got them bolts past 110 ft-lbs so I am safe there.
Its 4wd and solid axles. Only things that haven't been replaced are steering joints, sway bar bushings, and sway bar links.
