The radio doesn't actually dim when i turn on the headlights, it just will flash a white screen, almost like a restart. This ONLY happens if the camera is plugged in however. As for the wiring harness, it was still there. Or atleast A wiring harness was there, not sure if it was factory or not. I spliced and crimped everything together for the radio.

Yep, I see 2 wires on that harness. They're small, but they are there.

Reading the reviews I see other people grounding it to different places. I think we're on to something.

So i found the new wire (i apparently secretly hid it on myself on the back bench of the truck... Yay for organization! Anywho, you would be correct on being small wires.. 24 gauge. So it turns out the last hookup did also have a ground on it, once i looked close enough! So i decided to test out the new wire n see what happened (just stuck the power into the previous crimp for power and the ground onto the frame. Worked like a champ! So I did a little splice and dice and good to go! Im going to take a guess that the previous wire may have gotten damaged. Thank you Jimmy and HeyYou for all your help! Much happier being able to use the camera at night!

Excellent. Now, go have a beer, or two. (or, your beverage of choice, if not a beer drinker.) And SMILE at a job well done.
