Red face 2001 Dodge 1500 Help...

My wife has a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD. I am planing to pull out the V6 and drop in a 360/408 Stroker. I want to also put behind that 408 a 6 speed manual. I know that her truck is a 2nd Gen and I want to be able to stop the truck after the motor swap, so I want BIGGER brakes. with the 2nd Gen, the larger brakes are NOT an opption, therefore I am wondering if I can swap the 2nd Gen front and rear suspention out for that of a 3rd Gen 1500-2500 2WD..? Any advice, help amd/or information is greatly appreciated!!!

You can improve the rears just by installing the 1 ton wheel cylinders on your existing axle.

Doesn't the 01 truck already have dual piston front calipers??

Yes I know that will work, but I would really prefer to upgrade to large brake rotors. The '01 Ram dose not have a BIG Brake kit available... This is why I am interested in swapping the '01,front suspension out for a '02 front suspension. There are BOG Brake kits available for an '02. It would provide 14" rotors... I will keep in mind what y'all have provided for advice...

I had an '99 dodge with coil springs, and I now have an '02 now 4x4 with torsion bars. I do not believe the '01 and '02 are the same as the '02 is the first year of the new body style.
