Default Rim questions with 35 inch tires

Hey guys, I'm in the market for some new tires and rims. I'm currently running 315's on stock 3rd gen 17 inch rims with minimal to no rub at full lock and I have been pleased with them. The truck has a three inch leveling kit with the rear end spaced up to make the truck sit level.

I've been looking into 18 inch rims and even some 20 inch rims, and have been stumped as to what offset and backspacing I need to run 35s on these different size rims.

I've searched the forums many times but there are no definitive answers to my questions so I'm stuck looking for help.

The specs on the one set of rims I really like are...
20 inch diameter
9 inches wide
0mm offset
5 inches of backspacing

If someone could help me figure out the specs I need for 18 or 20 inch rims to run with 35s with minimal rubbing that would be great!

Only thing you really need to worry about is backspacing. Stick with something close to what your stock wheels are. If you go with less backspacing, you will more than likely rub on the control arms at full turn, less, and you may hit the bumper, or inner fender liner when turning.

If you can, your best bet is to go to someplace like discount tire, and the the rims/tires of your choice mounted up, and test-fitted to see if you will have issues with that combination.

Allright thank you. What is the backspacing of original rims?

And the truck already has 410 gears, its been debated to jump up to 456s but I think that is in the future, not now.

Not sure on the 02's, *should* be like 4.5 inches. Wouldn't hurt to yank one, and measure it though.

Thanks for the help. I've looked around and it seems that 4.5 is the backspacing most people recommend to stick with.

I just thought I would post a link of the rims I was looking into.

Probably wouldn't buy them off ebay but a local shop says they can get the exact rims for me.

I have 4" backspacing on a 10" rim. It's definately too much offset.

What offset would you want to shoot for? They have these rims with different offsets so hopefully they have close to what I need.
