Default 2nd gen 4x4 upper and lower ball joint problems

my front end guy is trying to put new lower and upper ball joints on my ram but is running into problems. He says the lower bj isn't seating like it should, he says the problem is when you turn the wheel the nut turns also as it should (thats normal) but his problem is that the ball joint shaft itself doesn't turn and should he says it is seated as far as it will go. he called a 28 year front end friend over for help and they both gave up. I got the parts from advanced auto (there brand) does anyone have a clue whats going wrong here?

you didn't buy moog there's your fist problem. the balljoint clearly has a larger taper than spec so its a faulty joint

Put all Moog ball joints and tie rods in my dakota about 4 years ago and have had zero issues. Alignment has been spot on and zero play in the front end. Spend the extra and go Moog, they can be found online cheap if you do a little searching.

Get moog problem solver series. I just rebuilt everything in a Dana 60 with them. Great quailty. Greasable. And made in USA

I can't speak for their other lines

at our shop we never like to install anything but moog. i have installed parts store brands they never get more than 3 months anyway. moog is lifetime if greased at every oil change.
