Welcome to DF!

First, have a look down the throttle body. See oil pooling in there? Time to do the plenum. (which it is probably past time in any event. read the stickied thread at the top of this forum for more info on that.

Next, do a compression, or cylinder leakdown test. Leakdown is more informative, but, requires the right gauge set, and a source of compressed air. Either one will give you an idea of what kind of condition your motor is in.

First off, is it blue smoke? Black? White? All the time? Or just at start up?

Blue is oil, go HeyYou's route. If it smokes at start up, probably valve seals. Consistently, probably rings and/or plenum.

Black is running rich (too much fuel).

White is coolant. Usually head gasket.
