Default 96 ram 1500 5.2 auto to manual swap

OK I bought this truck half way swapped I'm thinking it need a ecm for a manual cause a trans temp and o/d light comes on and the truck tries to shut down any suggestions

Hmm..."halfway swapped"....without additional detail on what exactly you mean by that there is no way any suggestions can be given. You are making the assumption that we know what "halfway done" means....

I mean it has the tranny the pedals and transfer case but in trying to figure out how to tell about the ecm or anything I'm missing

I got the ecm in and now none of my guages are working where the millage is its saying no bus after it get warmed up it want to miss and and when I try to start back up it it want to hesitate any suggestions

What year is the truck really? 96 had mechanical odometer. 98 and up had the digital display.

hmmm i missed that lol i am assuming the previous owner swaped gages to get rid of the gear indicator on the cluster. if this is the case the no bus is due to the unsupported digital display
