I'm getting uneven tire wear. I've had several alignments. I was looking at my front end and noticed that the sway bar is touching part of the shock tower on the passenger side but not on the drivers side. Is this normal?
Make sure the sway bar is centered, the links should be straight up and down, not angled at all. If it is centered, and you have one link at an odd angle, it's prolly bent. That said, sway bar won't really effect tire wear.
How old are your shocks ?, if they have a lot or miles on them, or if there original, there shot. Bad shocks will cause your tires to wear out, and cause major uneven tire wear.
where are the tires wearing? sway bars will not cause uneven tire wear, shocks will not cause uneven tire wear, did you get any print outs after the alignment? have you taken it to more than one alignment shop?

REALLY !
Bad shocks will cause feathering of the tread and cupping on the tread, and that will cause uneven wear.
