Default Transfer Case Remval in Drive way, Bad idea?

So i am resealing my transfer case it is leaking pretty good. I got the new seal on the transmission side and the transfer case side and the output shaft seal. Dealership said that's all i need. I am also cracking the case to re seal it there as well. I am doing this in the driveway and wondering if that is going to be doable. don't have a trans jack either just jack stands and i regular floor jack. Any other seals i need also?

Be sure to block the wheels, so your truck stays put.

I've regeared my axles in a dirt driveway. As far as not having a tranny jack you don't need one. You can lift the t-case on your own. The case halves are machined so technically it doesn't need to be sealed. I try to put a light coating all the way around and then let it sit for 5-10 minutes before I put the cases back together. Make sure you check your rear driveshaft for any burrs that could damage the new seal.

And to do that i just put everything in neutral and spin it by hand to feel for them correct? And if it feels like there is is the only option replacement?

Additionally make sure you mark the bolts on the drive shaft to the tcase and differentials so that you reinstall the same way. You can introduce balance issues if you clock it differently at reinstall. New vibrations....

If new driveshafts are being put in, then this is not a concern.
