I have a 2ooo dodge ram 1500 3.9l and the tranny went out ordered a used one. and what they sent me has a shorter shaft but all the plugs are the same my tranny has the number 2861 on the top the tranny the one they sent me has 2864 on it. was wondering if this will work on my truck. I looked the 2864 up and its out of a 5.9l

Hhhmmm..... If that's a 42RE, it NEVER came behind a 5.9, it wouldn't survive 15 minutes. If it is also shorter, you may need a different driveshaft with it.....
