Default Broken Power Steering Shaft

Arrived at the Indy 500 today and pulled into campsite and broke my power steering shaft. With belt off you can pull pulley outward.

My question is will it make it the 375 miles back home where I can fix it? Otherwise I'll have to take it to repair shop around corner on Sat.

No, it won't. It'll toss the belt, and then alternator, and water pump quit working. Need to replace the pump. Sorry man. Enjoy the race at least.

Exactly. If you can get it fixed while you enjoy doing something else, rather than being on the side of the road trying to fix it, or get a tow truck.... you will be MUCH happier.
