Default total overhaul, need a bigh performance transmission, advice?

So I'm looking to compley overhaul my 03' I'm going to put a high performance cam on it, bore it over 50/1000," put an off road chip on it, and throw some high performance headers on it. I'm also gonna lift it 7 inches and roll 37's on 20" rims. So with all these mods, I'll need a tranny that will survive, and be able to meet the demand without breaking a sweat, I know I need money, duh, it Idk what the best tranny is for the job, do I go aftermarket and order one online? Or do I rebuild with performance mods? If so, what do I need?

With 37" tire's regearing is probably the best way to prolong life of trans, no matter what trans is in there.

It isn't. Even the 2500/3500s were the new body style in 03.

But, if he still has a 5.9, 46RE trans, this is probably the best forum to be in.

That is true.

How long did the 5.9/46RE combo stay around?

Didn't the '02 5.9s have a new transmission, or was that still the 46RE?

New trans won't even bolt to the 5.9, No idea when the hemi replaced the magnum motors, but, it was right around in that time frame.
