There are two circuits involved. There is the "pressure" circuit, which is the high, and low pressure switches. (test that one first, its the usual culprit) and then there is the relay circuit. Relay is controlled by the pcm, and is what actually supplies power to the compressor. PCM will trip the relay if it sees A/C request, AND it is seeing a complete circuit on the pressure circuit. Wiring diagrams will make it a lot clearer.

Cool, thanks for the info. Got any more knowledge on the subject? I'm having trouble deciphering these wiring diagrams..

Jumper the low pressure switch first. See if the compressor runs. if it does, you are either low on charge, or, have a bad switch.

Thank you. One problem, I can't find the low pressure switch. I'm reading through the service manual and looking at the wiring diagrams but I can't figure out which wires are which? Any advice on that? Sorry for all the questions, I really appreciate the help.

Low pressure switch should be on/near the receiver/dryer on the passenger side firewall.

Thanks! I was just coming back to let you know I figured that out haha. I'll try jumping it and see if it works! Keeping my fingers crossed....

Jumped the low switch and the compressor didn't respond at all.

I read in another thread about this same issue that jumping the relay inside the box on the fender would make the clutch run. I tried it and it worked. So why is that, and can I leave it like that?

No. Need to find out WHY the PCM isn't commanding the relay on. Jump the high pressure switch, see what happens.

Are you even getting voltage TO the low pressure switch? (check that first.)

I jumped the high pressure switch before I read about jumping the relay, it didn't do anything

I'll check the voltage to both switches
