Default Seatbelts locking up!

I searched around and couldn't find anything to help with y newfound problem.

So half of the time I start my truck and try to put my seatbelt on and it is locked up and accompanied by a seatbelt light on the dash. I can turn the truck off and back on and then it'll be fine for the entire time I'm driving.

How can I fix this?
Thanks!

Check wiring connectors under the seat. Probably have a loose/dirty one.

Checked them yesterday and they were all fine, but today it has done something new. With the key in the on position and the door open it dings now, never did that before. My check engine light is on and the seatbelt light is on. The seatbelts aren't locked up.

Haven't gotten a chance to have the code read yet, I'll probably do that in an hour or so.

CEL will have nothing to do with seat belts. If the engine wasn't running, the light being on is normal.

With the seat belts working the way they should be now..... points to an electrical failure somewhere, trouble is, where? Could be the friggin brake switch.... just have to wait for it to crap out again.

The code set is P0545 and my A/C isn't working.

The guy at oreillys said it was exhaust gas temperature sensor or something

Okay so I guess this is a new separate issue, but I'll go ahead and post it here to save a new thread. The code thrown was a P0545 which is different from PO545. It's an A/C Clutch Relay Issue. So I tried switching fuses between the wiper motor relay and the A/C Clutch relay and that didn't help, the fuse worked with the wipers. So it's not the fuse, I'm assuming it just has to be a wire. So I've been looking for a wiring diagram so I can spend tomorrow tracing wires to see what's what, problem is I can't find a diagram. I have no idea where the A/C relay wires go. Any help or insight with this would be really helpful. Thanks

Grab the 01 service manual from this thread. Wiring diagrams are in section 8W.

Awesome, thank you. Should I just start with the wires coming off of the A/C compressor and trace them back until I find the problem? Or is there a better strategy?
