What did your numbers look like? Think I would be real tempted to run the test with a gauge, dry, then wet, and see what happens. That sounds a LOT like bad rings.
Yep. And all of the numbers were in the low to mid 90's. I did use the gauge and on it the numbers were VERY good.
Low to mid 90's is below spec. 100 is considered the minimum......
Hmm. When I did the tests I was taking mechanics college classes at the time and my teacher said the those numbers were fine. But on the gauge test I am wanting to say that the numbers were at an upwards of 175.
The easy solution check oil add when necessary. 5 quarts isn't terrible on my first ram I drove from Michigan to Kentucky with a car hauler and used 15 quarts of oil clogged the cat on that trip found out later on I had 2 dead cylinders rings were basically gone I drove it like that for another 10,000 miles before I swapped the motor.

Numbers I quoted are direct from Chrysler.
175 PSI? I would hardly expect to see that from a new motor..... I would run the test again, post up the numbers. Let's see what ya get.
