Vacuum issue. All the vents are vacuum controlled, except the blend door..... that has a little servo motor under the heater box that runs it. Does temp change with the ****?

There is always air flow. The faster you go, the more air you will get. Unless you turn the whole system completely off...... (turn the vent selector to "off", if yours has that.....) There will probably STILL be some airflow though. The cab is not completely sealed, the government wouldn't like that. (and on a long enough trip, neither would you. )

That's what I'm trying to say is even with the selector on off quite a bit of air comes thru the defrost an will randomly switch to face vents

You have a vacuum/controller/actuator issue then. Trouble is, to figure it out, need to pull the dash.....
