Default Replacing the dash

I've finally decided to replace the dash on the 2001 Ram 1500. I was looking at one from Geno's Garage.

Is this the one to go with or is there a better choice out there?

Best to shop around and beware of possibly high shipping charges, due to the awkward and large size of the dashpad.

They have/had both a cap and a replacement.

Im going to guess that in this case "pad" does not imply cover?

LMC have a "pad" that is a reinforcement for the screws across the back edge (against the windshield).

I could see "pad" being used as a name for a carpet like cover.

pad is usually the padded portion of the dash (older cars the top was padded the bottom was painted steel) the cover thing is usually made by coverlay and is hard and flimsy since it just glues over top of the top part (doesn't have the gauge surround at least on ones that I've seen)
