Default 1995 Blower motor, bad ground?

We have a 95 1500 4x4 with a 360. I tried some searches but haven't found the answer yet. The blower motor works when I ground it. I tried a new resistor, it didn't help. I believe the problem would be at the S215 junction or the G203 ground. Does anyone know where those are located? The power runs through the motor to the switch and resistor and then to the ground. Could the switch be bad? I thought I'd check the ground first as the lighter and horn don't work either. I also saw a recall #875 on 94-96 for the ignition switch and blower motor. Maybe if I call the dealer with the VIN they can tell me if it's been done. Thanks for your help.

S215: After T/O (whatever that is, SM doesn't tell me....) for Cigar lighter. Diagram shows it in a rats nest toward the center of the dash. (where the wiring harness looks a LOT like an octopus.....)

G203: I am unable to come up with a location for this one....... 95 SM doesn't have a ground location chart...... You could trace it from S215 though, it's the black wire, with orange trace.

Quite a bit of stuff uses that particular splice/ground though. Blower, cigar lighter, O/D switch, Glove box light, etc......

Think I would check and see if you were getting power from the Black/Orange wire coming FROM the HVAC controls.... with the blower on. (with the blower on high, it completely bypasses the resistor block..... so, I am thinking you are correct in that this is a switch/ground problem.)

Welcome to DF!

When I took the switch assembly out the vacuum lines on top were unplugged. When I snapped them in tight the blower started functioning. Weird huh? I did find some ground wires attached just above the E brake pedal and cleaned them. The lighter works but not the horn, I'll have to check the fuse. I don't know if the ground I found is the G203 or not, only 3 wires attach there. It did look like the grounds went to that S215 junction and then to the ground on the wiring diagram so that may be it. I didn't want to unwrap all the wires to trace them back to the junction.

Horn has a relay in the PDC as well. Do you hear that click when you press the button?

Wonder if you just had a loose connector on the backside of the HVAC controls.....

Yeah, the vacuum connector was popped loose, maybe the wires were too.

I'll check the relay next. Maybe get home this weekend. Thank you.
