Trail Carnage.. help :\
Another video for your guys. This time I didn't go around the yard instead I went down the road. Worked great for probably 3 miles. Shifted through every gear even OD and R. No problem and no slipping Then this happened. This is the huge drag I was talking about. It appears to happen only when tranny gets hot. At the end I even put it in 4L to show you guys just how much resistance there is. When I got back I checked my fluid and it is F'IN HOT and there's a white line of pasty stuff here and there. I still have no idea how I drove home 60 miles and why it didn't do this.
Check out the check valve delete thread, remove the valve if your truck still has it. See if that improves the cooling.
I wouldn't drive it too much more, if the fluid is getting that hot you're burning up the transmission.

Yeah no I'm done driving it just wanted that vid because there's nobody around to give me a hand or ideas. Ill try that tomorrow.
It's entirely possible the t/c is causing the problem, trouble is, when it fails like that, it tends to scatter crap all thru the trans, so, just replacing the t/c is only a very temporary fix, and throws away yet another t/c. (it is basically impossible to ensure you have cleaned all the crap out of one, without cutting it open.....)
I would either rebuild the current trans, or, swap in another one. (flush the cooler lines REALLY well.) I don't think this is going to be an 'easy' fix.
