ok lets play devils advocate. new oil pressure sensor, new oil pump (standard volume), engine flush, new oil, new filter..... i still have this problem. but now its only when shes at operating temp and the oil pressure drops at rpms lower than 900 (idle at stop and in gear) when i put her in N she bounces between 0 and 30ish. what else could it be.... im getting ready to take her to a shop and have them deal with her. this is a last ditch effort

Want to know what is REALLY going on? Pick up a cheap, mechanical oil pressure gauge. Install it in place of the sending unit. Drive the truck. See what happens.

Where you able to find out what is going on? I'm having a similar issue. I haven't replaced pump, screen, etc.. but I have replaced the sending unit. I notice that the gauge drops to zero when i drop below 1000 rpms, or if I'm slowing down from a turn, in stop and go traffic. I'm about to rip my alarm dinger out!
I'm sorry for dredging up an older thread, but it seems the OP is having similar issues. Anyone?

Does pressure immediately jump up to 30-40 when you give it a little gas? Is your oil level where it should be?

Yes on both accounts. I just read on another Q&A site, that they put heavier oil in and it stopped the issue. https://answers.yahoo.com/question/i...8225958AAmxf0X
What are your thoughts?

My thoughts are that the 'new' oil pressure sending unit is just as bad as the original. See if they will warranty replace it, or, just put a mechanical gauge on there, and see what is REALLY happening. (which really is the best option... if your pressure actually is going to zero at idle, you REALLY want to know that.)

And: Welcome to DF!
