Default Floating Gas Gauge.

Hello I own a 1996 Dodge Ram with a V8 magnum engine and have a question regarding my gas gauge floating between empty and full. (Most of the time it claims empty.) Can any one explain how to fix this and where I can buy the parts from?

Unfortunately, you need to replace the fuel sending unit, which is part of the fuel pump module. Runs in the neighborhood of 200 and some. You can get one from any parts store, get a Delphi, or Denso pump, skip the Airtex, they aren't worth squat.

I have the same problem on my truck. Below half a tank the gauge will read all over the place sometimes. I have a new Delphi pump and gauge assembly, just need to have it installed.
