Modern trucks are wind tunnel designed for the air to flow over the tailgate. Tailgate down does nothing but make the truck look stupid. The only sure fire way is to accelerate slower and keep it under 60mph. If acetone was so cheap and worked so good, dont you think the government would have initiated the use of it?

I agree with Cableguy....300 miles to the tank if I am lucky, and doing cartwheels myself on those weeks where I see 325 to the tank....I too fill up every other day!

want better mpg ? light foot for one , change your driving habbits , K&N filters , CAI ..lol if you think it helps more power to you. i can get from 300 to 335 a tank depends if i run the AC or not . of course i run syn gear oil , trans oil , motor oil is just dino no lost when i switch back from syn to dino oil ...my avg is from 15.5 to 16 city or country roads.. rare the truck hits highway even so i set the cruise to 68..And again hold that K&N filter up to the light and ask your self if thats the filter you want (when you see the light shine thru from the holes)

If I'm on the highways a long way I get like 16-17mpg.
Around town or four wheeling I get like 13.5
There isn't anything special about it. Keep your truck tuned up. Change the oil. Make sure our plenum isn't leaking. make sure your valves arent' ****ed up. What's your final drive ratio? mine's 3.55 wanna trade me for some 4.10s (anyone?)
Keep the rpm's under at 2k or under. Keep it in 4th.
If it's around town... tough luck. buy a hybrid. get little tires with little tread.
