I am swapping out a transmission and need help

Default I am swapping out a transmission and need help

How do you tell the difference between a 46-rh and a 46-re? I have 2 transmission that are identicale in length, different connectors.Are they interchangable?

46RE will have an 8 pin connector on the driver side of trans, about halfway back.

If it's a rh it shouldn't have as much plugs as the electronic RE

Stewie is correct. only external difference is that connector. No, they are not interchangeable.
