Default new to the forum

hey guys just recently acquired a 96 dodge ram 1500 4x4
I am having truble with the 4x4 its locking in the t case and spinning the drive shaft but tires not pullin ...is this the actuator ..thanks for ur help

It might be; the actuator runs off vacuum. Check for leaks - it's a combination of plastic lines and rubber connections.

Check the vacuum lines, make sure theres no holes in them, not cracked and theyre not plugged. One of mine got plugged and it wouldnt engage at all either

I put the "Perm-Lok" on my 96 Ram 1500. This way the two-piece axle is always connected, and I don't have to worry about vacuum lines.
