Default Best painting system for my truck?

Ive searched, but havent come up with much (im also using my phone so that doesnt help). I plan on really, i mean really, overhauling my truck. Its currently a 1999 5.9 dodge 1500 sport. Its going to be a 1999 5.9 cummins dodge 2500 that will remain a 1500 according to the VIN since i dont want to mess with VIN problems and documentation. Ill reenforce the frame with plating and braces, but it wouldnt need it anyways.
Now i am also going to paint the entire truck. Its currently green. Id like to have it in a metallic charcoal grey or something similar. I was looking at eastwood paint system for awhile, but i cant seem to find much good on them. Its the cheapest option, but not neccessarily the best value.

So i guess my question is what is the best value paint system? Im in college, so i cant be putting out thousands for all the painting supplies. Eastwood is about 100$/gal for the paint. I think alll the stuff would be roughly 500$. Ill be dissasembling everything except cab which will be sprayed on the truck. I can make a temporary booth down at the shop and hopefully farmwork dont take me over.

If you want it to last, don't go cheap. HVLP (high volume, low pressure) seems to be the way to go at the moment....... it's easy to spend 500 bucks on just the paint gun.....

Get a practice hood or door or ? so when you start on the truck you know more than you do now. HVLP with waterborne paint. METALLIC TAKES SOME PRACTICE TO LOOK GOOD. Put the clear on heavy so you can buff out the imperfections without getting into the color/flake.

Woops, sorry. I forgot to mention that. I already have a HVLP gun. I am mainly talking paint materials here. The rest I have mostly figured out. Anything else I should be able to find. I am asking because I dont want to find out in a few months that something like eastwood paint starts failing. I may go to the body shop and see what they want for a gallon of PPG workline...

Thanks. Ill do some more research on metallic to make sure I get all the tips and tricks. I am actually getting ready to paint the hood on my car with 3M2 ppg workline because I nailed a deer on the way to college. Waterborne paint is a great idea, but I don't know if I should go spend more money on another gun. I dont think mine is pure stainless. Besides that, its another learning curve I need to make. Dont get me wrong, I think its a great idea, I just cant afford it nor do I want to make the new learning curve.
