Exclamation 3rd gen headlight issues

I know this isn't the 3rdgen section but I know I can get some responses here before I sit and wait over in the appropriate section. My dad has an '02 1500 and has been having issues with the headlights turning off when hitting bumps. He had the rheostat (control ****) replaced and his lights were fine for a few days but his lights are back to doing the same thing again. Do the 3rd gen have this issue normally? The shop we took it to couldn't figure out what was wrong, I checked things over awhile ago and couldn't see any fuses blown, wires damaged or loose, or anything wrong with the headlights. Any thoughts?

Does the switch supply power to the headlights? Or does it just supply ground path?

I believe it's the power switch...I'm at college and haven't been home so I'm not there to see what got replaced or what.

Might be. I'll check when I get home again but I thought I'd ask around to see if it was a specific issue
