Default Possible axle swap?

So i have been having a problem with gettin my truck over 70mph before it shakes like crazy. Before i couldnt get it above 60mph but i replaced te steering components to moog now it drives straight and the vibration moved a bit. When i relase the gas above 60mph i get a vibration from the rear but when i repress the gas it goes away till i hit 70 mph.
I found a 97 dodge ram parts truck that icould buy it already has the axles swapped to a dana 60 front and dana 70 rear wonderin if they will work for my 99 dodge ram 1500.
Thanks for the input.

There are some minor differences.... but, I think, they should work. Springs on the heavier axles were wider.... so, measure the springs, and see what ya got.

One more question.
The other guy didn't pan out.
New truck 99 Dodge Ram 2500 short bed.
Dana 60 front Dana 80 rear
I got a price of $500
For the two axles, leaf springs, shackles, coil springs, tires and rims, and read drive shaft.
Anything else I need from the donor? And how is the price?

Try and grab the t case also. Dana 80 means it was probabbky a diesel and probably has the 241HD

You HAVE to get the leaf spring hangars if you wanna use those springs.

I doubt he will want to beat the frame rivets out to give you the hangars.

You could buy universal ones. But they are expensive about 200.

The guy says the truck has a 5.9liter so its not a diesel. And the trasfer case is shot.

Then it probably just has a D60 rear. (unless it is the diesel... that was also 5.9 liter. )

So my transfer case will not work with a dana 80. So I would have to find another one or hold off for a dana 70

He verified its a gas 5.9l

your stock should work just fine

if it was a diesel i think the 241DHD has a different spline count.

if so you just need that u joint that is the larger size on two and the smaller size on the other. Then you can use your stock slip yoke with the 2500 driveshaft

Just heard from the guy again. Apparently he missed the fact the front axle is cracked down the middle so looks like I'll keep searching thanks for the help.

Gas engines, even in one ton trucks never came with the D80..... that's got to be either mis-identified, or, it has been replaced in the past. Also, I think all the D80's were duallys, weren't they??
