Yes, My 1996 used to do this, it has something to do with a drain or vent or something in the heater core.

if its coolant your heater core is bad if its water your drain is clogged. its right above the passenger control arm, a little hose tip. if you run ac but dont ever see water on the ground thats another sign it is clogged

If heater core, you would know as there would be antifreeze in water. On my 1996 the drain hole for A/C is below the dryer and can only be seen from under the truck. Small piece of black plastic sticks out from firewall, about half inch in length.

On some Fords I seen water come in on the floor after a rain, water is coming from the air intake that is cracked or broken.

I meant the Search on this site... when in the 2nd Gen forum, use Search this forum, and it weeds out a lot.

The thread I referred to was about 6 below your post, so a quick scan of the current thread listing would have done it without a search.

But I do understand the ease of just asking and letting other do the search, especially if you're tight on time.

Put some rubber tubing over the drain so that it drips down and away. Then add some sealant to the rubber bushing around the drain. Then pull up the carpet and start mopping.
