Have a 95 Dodge Ram 5.9 Diesel, that after about 30 minutes of run time will lose Tach, Overdrive and the service engine light also ( after cooling,all will return)....The ESS has been changed.....Is there a definitive way of checking the PCM without replacing?....Thanks for any input..

Get any codes?

 

Turn the key on then off 3 times before finally leaving it on count how may times the CEL flashes (i.e. 2 flashes then short pause is 2 and 3 flashes then long pause would be code 23)

 

In the Key ON/Off DTC retrievel mode, the code 35 is there, I get different meanings to the code, so I will attach a scan tool and see if there is more codes or perhaps a clear definition to that DTC...The only thing Alldata shows on DTC 35 is an ABS rear speed sensor code.......Perhaps that is correct, I am not sure righr now...
