Squeazing the hose??? What?
Best way to burp the air out is to park the passenger side up higher than the driver. Like drive that side up on a curb. Take the rad cap off and start engine and let it idle. It will take at least 20 min after its warmed up. It must go through several cycles.
If you watch the fluid level in rad you can see little bubbles come up then it will suck some coolant down. that's good. Add some back in and wait till it stops doing that. It will take a while. Be patient.
You got a stock thermostat? Any leaks?

+1. My dash gauge wouldn't budge off 130. Then I replaced the thermostat, drained coolant, filled in up, burped, then added more coolant while it was running. Result - i now have heat in my truck and the dash gauge works. Make sure to put the rad cap back on very well...my friend didn't put it back on my truck well and the engine got a good coating of coolant. Now I have an air bubble trapped again. Crap! Time to try burping on a 30 degree hill and if that doesn't work, backflush the system. But I still have heat and the dash gauge still works!
