Default Borgeson Steering Box Issue

So, I bought a Borgeson Steering box and steering shaft for my 01 Ram 1500 Offroad Edition and had a mechanic install them since I didn't have time. I got a call that the steering box was leaking and the steering felt like it was binding. Something they'd never seen before. He said that if you tried to turn the wheel in either direction it was very hard to turn. So I sent the box back to Borgeson. I received it back a couple of weeks later and they said they replaced the seals, but couldn't find anything else wrong with it. Well, the mechanic re installed it for me and it's still having issues. The steering wheel now turns about 1/2 a turn in each direction then feels like it is binding up. It gets hard to turn, but if you push it past there it's easy again. My first thought is the shaft is binding, but I don't see that happening anywhere, nor did the shop. I tried driving it some to see if it feels any better, and not only that, but if you get it up to 55-60mph it's super scary. The steering just feels super loose. Not like it has play, but like it's super easy to turn the wheel and it's just very hard to drive it as it feels like it blows all over the road and it takes very little to make it turn significantly until it gets to the spot where it feels like it is binding.

Does anyone have an idea what this can be? I'm starting to wonder if it's the box, or something else going on that's adjusted imporperly although, I don't really see how that can be the case. At this point I've had no truck for a month and a half (still don't have one that's safe to drive and it's getting ready to be snow season here), am out a ton of labor, am out about 4x what the factory box cost, and am seriously regretting buying anything Borgeson. Does anyone have any advice on where to look? Is there a way to adjust this box like the factory one? The instructions don't mention it or does this box need to take another trip back to Borgeson? Thanks for the help guys.

Disconnect the steering box, and cycle your steering lock to lock by hand. (jack it up, and grab a tire. Shouldn't be that difficult.) If there is anything binding, you will notice.

If nothing is binding, get on the phone with Borgeson, and have a chat. It sure sounds to me like a bad box though.
