Default Headlights Question

Im looking at a pair of projector headlights on ebay, they say they arent for the sport package and wont fit but a lot of my buddies say they will because the "Sport" Is just a trim package on the body and has nothing to do with the headlights... Can someone please confirm before I buy them?

Heres the link http://www.ebay.com/itm/94-01-Dodge-Ram-Angel-Eye-Halo-Ring-Projector-LED-Black-BLK-Headlights-Head-Lamp-/281354980244?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4182104b94

I have these headlights on my truck. While they look nice, the light output is insufficient for my needs. The light pattern is cut off at the top and does not allow me to see well while night driving. I purchased a set of OEM style sport headlights, which should perform much better.

Those cheap Chinese projector headlights are junk. Save you money and buy some name brand ones.

I think it was 98½ that Sports model went to a 2 bulb headlight (one high beam, one low beam)... 98 Sport and standard have one bulb with H/L.

Great info Atomic, thanks, I will look into that too, I assume you have to do some wire splicing to install that setup? I am good at soldering but I am not a wiring harness guru...

I did not have to do any wire splicing to install the sport headlights. This thread will provide further information as to what I did to install the sport headlights onto my '96 Ram 2500 - https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...ml#post3533328

Hello,

On my truck, I have these headlights. While they are attractive, the amount of light they provide is insufficient for my requirements. The light pattern is cut off at the top, making it difficult for me to see well at night. I bought a set of OEM-style sport headlights, which should be significantly more effective. turkish citizenship

The light pattern is cut off at the top,
That's what protectors do, But i would suspect anything you get off ebay to be junk.
