Default pinion bearing preload

bigearl here, new to the forum and first post. Purchased a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 as a project to work on. Have replaced all differential bearings and ready to put back together. I'm using the Ratech smart crush sleeve. My question is that it appears that I need to install the oil seal first before setting preload with the crush sleeve so how much drag will that have on my reading? The specs on the preload tell me 15-35 inch pounds. I'm sure this topic has been discussed here before but wasn't able to find it.
Thanks

Properly lubricated, the seal won't appreciably change your readings.
