Default Oil consumption ideas?

So my 2000 mile motor came up about a quart and a half low the other day. It had passed California smog after the 500 mile brake in, but seems to be burning some oil. After checking the plenum (its clean) I started pulling plugs. Cylinder 2 and 8 both showed signs of burning oil. So today I ran down the valve stem seals for my almost new aftermarket heads. I did find the number 2 cylinder had a seal I could pull off by hand. So after replacing the seals on that side, she still appears to be burning some oil as I pull the throttle. Any ideas?

Who built the motor? Could be any number of things, from poor ring sealing, to having the ring gaps in the wrong spots.....

HY, I had a local builder here in Southern California go back through the engine. BAR Machining. The guy that runs it has a pretty good reputation on Magnum motors, so I'm hoping that I have missed something small. If I get a chance tomorrow, I am going to pull the plugs again and do a compression test. Time has been the hardest thing to come by at this oint.

You could also try the PCV valve, but, since you aren't seeing much in the intake, that may or may not help.....
