Coolant sensor can cause a lot of symptoms , I don't think "no start" is one of them . PCM doesn't use it until it enters the closed loop .
Yes it does. It uses it from the moment you turn the key, to the moment you turn it off. Fuel mixture is VERY dependent on engine temp. Colder it gets, the more gas you need in order to have a burnable mixture in a cold engine. If the PCM thinks it is -40 out, it is going to absolutely DUMP gas, resulting in a flooded engine in short order. (well, unless it really IS that cold out.....)
Stomping the pedal to the floor, and holding it there, will put the PCM in "clear flood" mode, and it will radically cut back on fuel. If it tries to start that way, or actually DOES start that way, but still RLS, temp sensor is where I would start lookin'.
So coil has spark, took off the cap and reattached everything. Figured out the fuel pressure is inadequate.
I figured I could hear the pump prime and I could see gas on the plugs that the pressure was great. I could prime the pump 3-4 times, then go poke the valve and it would just dribble out.
