Nope. 241DHD is it for you, and it has to come from behind a 98 and up diesel, or V-10, with the same trans you have. (auto or manual) Any of the lighter duty t-cases would grenade if you merely mentioned installing it in your truck in its presence......

Ok thats what I was thinking, I've searched Craigslist I want I can find the guy wants a thousand bucks for. I'm thinking I might possibly be able to rebuild it.But it kind of scares me. I have a friend who owes me some money and will pull and install.I mean with the drive shaft off how much chain slap is too much?there's no tag under the hood well under the old hood or in the glove box I can't remember from my old truck but shouldn't it be stamped on the transmission which one I have?

Figuring out which tranny you have is easy.

For your truck (1999 4x4 2500 with a cummins)

If its a manual 5 speed its a nv4500 if its a manual 6 speed its the nv5600.

now if your truck is an automatic it will only be the 47RE

sorry using voice to text I was saying...ok got ya my old truck had a 46 RH and I believe they quit using those hydraulic lines n96 if I'm not mistaken. Because all I ever saw for the autos was the RH and re what I was looking for my old truck.
