I honestly find it hard to believe that all 4 came out of the box bad. Check the pads/shoes for glazing to make sure there isn't some kind of heat build up issue. Brakes get hot, but there shouldn't be a whole lot of shiny on the friction surfaces.

then again, it's autozone. I'm always a little weary of buying stuff there due to past experience; but when you need parts, you need part, right? NAPA should stay open on sunday 'round here

It was the auto zone rotors and drums. Despite my warranty, they gave me a real hard time, claiming it was my calipers, then changed their story to my mc. Returned to auto zone, purchased from O'rielly and it rides/brakes great. Regreased front wheel bearings as well.

wow, that's amazing... That really makes me re-think using autozone, even for the most basic things. I have an Oreily, Advance and NAPA around here. I don't use AZ often, but they're the most convenient one to get to, so I tend to end up there a lot.

Congrats and being back up and running. Glad you were able to get AZ to sort it all out and get you for $$$ back.

I probably have a dozen parts stores of one description or another within a one mile radius of each other. (of course, it's seven miles into town....) I try and avoid autozone like the plague, I have never had any luck with any parts I have bought from them. They DO have a nice selection of tools though, and quite frequently, they will have it, when no one else does.

I buy 99% of my stuff from advance. Been dealing with them for a couple decades now, and everyone there knows me by name..... (and feel a need to give me a ration of **** every time I go there. It's fun. )

I learned early on in my short-but-growing wrenching time that advance is usually pretty good. I end up at AZ out of habit, but I would almost always have to make a second trip to a parts store, and it usually was advance I'd go to. Of course the time I went to advance first figuring I'd cut out the second trip, I ended up at AZ for another part anyway, lol.
