Default 1998 dodge ram 1500 3.9 no start

I tried to crank my truck up today and it turns over but won't fire, it's not getting spark or power to the fuel pump, it ran perfect before I shut it off just all of the sudden this happens I removed the automatic shut down relay and can get the fuel pump to kick on by jumping the relay, so I put a new relay in it with no luck, I'm hoping the ecu isn't shot.

Are you getting power to the coil, and injectors for a few seconds when you first turn the key on?

None at all, replaced the crank shaft position sensor and that didn't do anything either

Check and see if the PCM is grounding the control circuit for the ASD relay.

Have a scanner you can plug into it? I don't think the key trick works on the 98.....

Scan tool keeps saying error, a friend looked it over and says the ECM is shot. Doesn't make any sense to work perfect and suddenly die but he's Ase certified and good at what he does

Pic one up from a junkyard, (PCM) and see if that will run your truck.

Is this an 03? Like your sig indicates? You really wanna be in the 3rd gen section.

None of my local junkyards have one, I found one on ebay for $88 I'll order it soon. I've updated my signature to my current 1998 truck about a dozen times but it won't save it.

Well the new ECM solved the problem. She seems to start up quicker and idle smoother as well. I recommend autocomputerexchange.com for anyone needing an ECM, I got a reman ECM with lifetime warranty flashed and ready to go for $198.65 with express shipping.
