My hubby asked me to see what body parts interchangeable between the 94-01 1500's. Do the doors from an extended cab will fit on a regular cab truck? If we have a donor truck can the motor trans and everything be swapped over to the 95? What about the dash as long as he uses the same gauges? He wants to make sure that he can use all the parts that he can off the donor truck.

What year is the donor truck? The interior changed in 1998. The motor and trans should bolt right in though, but is your changing engine size (5.2 to 5.9), you'll need to either change the computer, or have your existing one reprogrammed with a SCT tuner (preferred).

Seems like I've heard that the doors between the regular can and extended cab don't interchange.

 

For the doors, it depends on if it is a two-door, or four-door cab. (yeah, I know, the rear doors are 'half-doors'.....) Any door from a two door cab, will interchange with any other two door cab, the two door doors will NOT swap into the four door cabs. They are shaped differently.

2-door regular cabs and "club cab" trucks, i.e. the trucks with extended cab but still only two doors (95-00) will work on a regular cab and vice verse. The "quad cab" trucks (98-02) have the suicide doors in the extended cab and will not swap to any other body style.

Dashes were changed in 98 so 94-97 and 98-02 are the years for those swaps.
