Default Need a part and dont know what it is

Since my front end service that I am in the middle of I have noticed I am missing the piece that attaches to the center link sleeve. It seems like a sleeve brace as it is only on the center link bad going up to the tie rod end connecting to the pitman arm.

1998 ram 1500 4x4 reg cab 8ft bed.

replaced front axles, moog 377 u joints, all moog upper and lower ***** joints, moog inner and outer tie rods, moog sleeves, moog pitman arm, moog lower control arms, drive works upper control arms, moog sway bar endlinks, moog sway bar bushings , rancho fron stabilzer, rancho shocks all around, bf goodrich all terrain k02's 245-75-r16.

I really want to put a heavy duty leaf spring setup in there but do not know which direction to go on this.

That piece the connects to the left sleeve bolt and has a clamp around the center link. When I took my old on off it was so rusted that it was merely a rust bolt and broken piece of rusted steel not even there, 90% gone. and i noticed in a lot of images that this is in the manual and on various other trucks, didnt know if I needed it.

I think its just a 'safety' piece, to keep the collar from rotating. Don't have one on my truck. It stays put though.

X2! I have a 2500 and don't have it either. Just make sure you put some never seize on the threads and adjuster. It will rust in place if you don't and be a real pain to move years down the road.

As stated you don't need it, it's just supposed to keep the clamps pointed down so they don't touch the frame or track bar when turning, as long as your clamps are pointed down as pictured you'll be fine.
