It's the iod (ignition on display or demand I think) fuse. Are your dome lights turning on? It's the fuse inside the cab fuse box with a plastic cover, I just pried mine out but apparently there's a technique or someway to get it out. It's just a mini 10 amp I believe.

chadhager03,thank you for the reply. I will go replace that fuse.Any dea why that fuse would blow? Tommy (and no the dome lights will not come on.)...I changed the blown fuse code reader ,radio, domes work.Pulled the codes 1693,1698,0336,1689,0237,0222 cleared these codes and tried to start truck would not start.Engine light came back on,checked codes again had a 1693 and 0222 only. Any ideas on this? Tommy

P1693-The companion engine control module has shown a fault.

im not sure if this means u have a bad ecm or not but if it does it might throw codes even when there is nothing wrong. one of my friends has a 1998 dodge ram that said his tps was bad his camshaft sensor was bad and his iac was bad. we replaced the ecm and 50,000 later (ish) nothing has poped back up. i would bring it to your local auto repair and have them take a look. it'll cost but it'll save you from putting parts in that dont fix the problem.

Forget clearing codes with your "code reader". Disconnect the negative battery cable and turn on the headlights for 30 seconds. Turn the headlights off and reconnect the battery cable. See if it starts. If not, do this and see what codes come up. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...code-list.html

Poured a little splash of gasoline in the air intake and it started right up.No problems since. Thanks to all for your advise and tips. Tommy

Grab the 01 service manual from here. Your truck should still be first gen. There is another fuse for the radio, I do believe. Anything else not work?

Take it out and check for power at the back of the radio, many aftermarket radios have a fuse as well that could have blown. If you have a blown fuse keep in mind that they don't blow for no reason, they also don't wear out, so don't change it unless it's blown.
