Default coolant drain

Where is the drivers side 5.9l gas engine block coolant drain located? Is it behind engine mount?

It's behind the freeze plug at the back of the block.

you may knurl the threads pulling that plug out! Highly suggest you drain radiator using the drain ****, then remove lower radiator hose from the water pump, that should drain the block.

That will only drain it down to a point, not completely.

Why do you want all the coolant out of the block?

Well it is a pipe thread but you should be ok unless you have major rust/corrosion issues in the block.

If you are clearing out dirty coolant there is also a pulg on the other side. Maybe replacing freeze plugs. ???
