mine did the same for years. Found small seepage leak on back side of thermostat housing. Replaced it when I did thermostat and it went away. The old housing was really corroded.

so ive discovered i have a blown gasket on one of my aftermarket headers, apparently....when i had the shop replace my cat, they stripped one of my header bolts putting it back on,,,which i guess after time blew out the gasket cause its gone or they never put back on. however, this cause a ticking sound on idle, cause its just air coming out of the header. Anyway could that cause a performance issue? im gonna fix it anyway

Depends on where the O2 sensor is, if it is after the leak, yeah, that can cause issues.
