Default Differential Torque

I changed my rear differential fluid today and installed a Felpro gasket with RTV on each side and torqued the bolts to 35 ft lbs as the manual says. After I finished I noticed that the gasket had broken around some of the bolts and sticks out around the outside of the cover. Is this normal or should I be concerned about leaks?

RTV should prevent any leaks.

Thanks HeyYou. Went ahead and filled it up and drove it. So far no leaks.
