Default This springs truck build (pics included)

So, after some purchasing, research, and "afew" hours of rebuilding I thought i'de share what ill be doing this spring.

Axles from a 2500, dana 60 and 70 (for now, both are open, havn't decided on what kind of setups im using in them. Moog balljoints/bearings installed.

Have a set of 37'' super swampers in the shop, along with a set of 37'' (not really sure what brand they are, they're take-offs of a humvee.

Trailworthyfab.com, sells the rims to go along with the tires, they're humvee take-offs as well. double beadlocked 16.5'' rims. (not sure on what my backspacing should be for a 37/12.5/16.5, if anyone wants to chime in on that, that would be awesome)

Going to get some AAL and coil springs and lift and stuff for the tires, nothing special or insane, maybe 5 inches to clear the tires (that's ontop of a 3'' body lift)

Now, the cherry ontop this sundae...

That gentlemen is a 4BD1T, 3.9L 4 banger diesel. getting paired with a zf5 transmission (oh yea, doing a manual swap.) What do you guys think of my money pit?

Edit: sorry, pictures are not posting right

love the diesel idea. alot of people put these in jeeps and smaller vehicles, but with some low gears it would work great in a heavier truck as well

Imageshack seems to make you want to jump thru hoops to get theirs to post..... That's why I like photo bucket..... MUCH simpler.

Looks like someone is going to have some serious fun.

Why thank you, i picked it up for $150, (my works truck blew the trans, nabbed it up before they sold it for scrap). My brother has a 7.3 so we tossed the idea of sequential turbos around for quite a while but i decided to prolong the life of this motor im just going to intercool it, turn the more power screw up, and leave it at that. Granted this build wont happen till spring, still need to order the bellhousing adapter and buy the zf5 + tcase.

Axles on the other hand just got done with prep for paint and might go in by the end of the month, will be sure to keep yall updated with pics.

And thank you Hey You for posting those pictures, makes it more interesting

P.S. hood stack with flapper is definite

150 bucks??? Seriously? Holy crap. Those guys are PRICEY anywhere else. That was a Flipping STEAL. (yes, the diesel police will be along shortly, to empty your wallet, and bank account in retribution for such a steal. )

$150... basically, my boss told me $150 and you can have free reign of the truck, yanked motor, trans, the 2nd trans (it blew two at once, long story), dual battery tray, fuel tank (with 30gal of diesel, hope he never finds that one out).
