I know this is the opposite of what most people want to do but I'm just trying to get the truck on the road again,

95 Ram with 5.9, auto trans, engine is dead, I think a rod knock. I have a running 5.2 in the garage from a 93 Grand Cherokee, I have had this engine for almost 10 years, it was for another project just never used it. Engine is complete all sensors, accessories and electronics, also has flex plate and torque converter for a 46RH trans.

So just wondering if I can I keep the 5.9 computer, and what engine electronics I need to swap over and anything else I need to know.

I will probably tear apart the 5.9 and rebuild but want the truck going so I can take my time and do it right.

 

I would swap all the sensors.... the 5.9 computer will run it, but, it will be rather on the rich side while in open loop.
