Nope not pipe thread and that is what NPT stands for Snow. I'll have to look thru my Russel fittings and see if I can find what it is called. And I was just snugging it up. It kept leaking so I was just trying to stop it from leaking. Had to get a whole new case which turned into a complete tranny rebuild because the tranny was shot. This was back when I had just gotten my Jeep on the road and we think when the STaK's transfer case went out it took out the tranny too. But could never prove it.

Before i spend $40 or $80 for two i will convert it back to the original way it was done on the 727's. Pic is of a A518 buy the way.

I found this on a search for 46RE parts...($16.43)

Unfortunately I already had the lines. and needed these fittings ASAP before the storm last night.
$32.86 +$70.00 overnight shipping (or even 3-5 day ups expedited was $30)
from that site.

Dealer had them in stock so I saved money LOL

The thread does appear to be 1/4" NPT maybe a BSPT 1/4.
but the inside is a tapered flare and a o-ring seal with a straight thread. Not a hardware item at all.

Anyway, this is a Standard off the shelf pipe reducer 3/8 to 1/4 NPT. This is not going to work.
