Default Lights!!!!!

So I did a long search on here and found mixed remarks on the lighting of our truckls and what direction I should go and seeing these posts where from 06 Im certain a few things have changed.

I have ordered the stock gray fog light housings and looking to get the stock fog light housing that can take either an HID bulb or something bright.

ALso I and searching to see if going to a conversion HID housing and that route is worth it. or a waste. People said go with silver stars, but I am always run HID's plug and play DDM ballasts from an online vender and they where BRIGHT!

SO im kinda lost on what to do.

thoughts on what you are running...? I have problem seeing at night and I need to run my stock high beams and the 4 inch manual switch road lights just to see.

I recommend and am using factory replica housing, use the LMC relay wire harness to power the headlights to get the maximum brightness from halogen bulbs. I prefer brand called Narva Rangepower +50, good focus and brightest bulbs, made in Germany

HID bulbs in the fog lights will melt the clear lens and blind the poor drivers around you. Been there done that.

The factory fogs are cosmetic toys, don't emit a usable amount of light. To make up for the lack of light I added some HID fog lights with the cutoff shields built in. This way I'm not blinding other drivers. They emit more than enough light to supplement the headlights and can always turn them off when facing uphill at a traffic signal.

Awesome. Ya I was wondering if the lower fogs would do anything to help.

Where did you get those lights at.

I am assuming I should buy a new housing correct this way the lens is clear and the chrome is good as well right....?

Running a relay kit, premium bulbs, and restored (haze removed) stock headlights, I get plenty of light.

I got mine at theretrofitsource but they are not avail anymore. Can get some JDM that are even better on ebay for $40 with the built in cutoff shield, also need the H3 HID 35watt bulb kit (55watt will melt housing) . These will flood the entire front of your truck with light without blinding anyone.

JDM will throw light at oncoming traffic due to being right hand drive...

You mention a good point. The fogs don't have step in the shield, it's a flat cutoff line
