only thing that is going to change between 2wd and 4wd, is going to be the front driveshaft, pinion, gears in diff, and you CAD is engaging the shaft in front axle. is the sound constant? does it change as speed changes?

You did check the ones by the front wheels correct(axle shaft)? Not just the cv drive shaft ones.
Mine where trash at 60K (no needle bearings left in them).

u-joints will create a popping sound not a squeal. since it doesnt change with speed, it sounds like its not to do with the rotation of anything, you sure the sound aint coming from the transfer case?

Even the transfer case, if it were the source of the noise, would change with speed. Do you hear it when you are stopped, or only when moving?

Then it's gotta be something in the drivetrain.
